Media Center Policies
The Media Center is generally open between the hours of 8:15 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.
The goal of the media center is to encourage students to develop a lifelong love of reading. Students visit the media center to check-out books, learn library skills, hear stories, and perform research.
Circulation limits
Kindergarten students may check out one book to keep in their classroom. In January, they may begin taking their book home.
- First and Second grade students may check out two books.
- Third, Fourth, and Fifth grade students may check out three books.
- Only one SSYRA or SSYRA Jr book may be checked out at a time.
Books are due 2 weeks after the time of check out.
Having overdue books or fines for damaged materials will prohibit a student from checking out more books.
Students should never loan a library book to another student.
