Principal's Message

Hello Wyndham Lakes Families,


Monday will be our first day of instruction for the 2020-2021 school year. Although we had anticipated seeing our scholars in person, Covid 19 has other plans for us.  For the safety of our scholars and staff, we will begin our instruction remotely. 


Here are some things you need to know:


Instruction 

Instruction will begin on Monday, August 10th and we will follow the bell schedule.  Scholars should be ready to begin by 8:45 am by logging into their device.   We will follow the bell schedule and will dismiss/conclude instruction at 3 PM.  


Devices- 

Every scholar will receive a device. K and 1st will receive iPads and 2-5 will receive laptops.  If you still need to pick up your device, you may do so by contacting  the front office and making an appointment.  Our device distribution hours are everyday  from 7:30 - 4:00. 


Meet the Teacher - 

Our Meet the Teacher event will be virtual this year.  Teachers should have contacted you this week to introduce themselves and give you information in regards to their virtual meeting and supplies needed for instruction.  If you have not heard from your child’s teacher, please call the front office and let us know.  


Class Lists - 

Unfortunately our class lists continue to be fluid as parents' choices of instructional models are changing.  If you would like to change the instructional model of your child - i.e. Face to Face to LaunchED@Home or vice versa, please contact the front office. 


Teacher and classroom changes for other reasons will not be made at this time. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.  


Before and After School Care - 

YMCA continues to be our before and after school care provider.  Please visit our website at wyndhamlakeses.ocps.net for more information. 


Grab and Go Meals

We will be serving grab and go meals this Monday, August 10th from 3:30 - 5:00 PM through our bus loop.  We will be serving meals on Mondays only. 


Meals will be served on Monday for the entire week (5 breakfasts and 5 lunches per child).   Please know that the gate will be closed at 5 PM on the dot. 


Please click on the link below to register your child/ren to receive a meal.  You will need your child’s student number (the 480… number they use to log into their devices) in order to fully register for a meal.

This link will be live until this Saturday 8/8/2020 at 7 PM. We will do our best to accommodate as many people as possible.  


2020-2021 Parent Technology and Media Information Consent Form - 

During the 2020-21 school year the Parent Technology, Media and Information Consent Form (PTMICF) can be completed by parents or guardians in one of two ways. 

  1.  By providing a paper PTMICF to parents and having them return to the school or 

  2. By providing parents a link to the PTMICF and having them return the form electronically. 


All parents should receive a PTMICF during the first week of school and must be returned to the school by  August 21, 2020.

All forms can be returned to the office beginning Monday,  August 10th.  We will have bins in front of the school office for you to drop them off.  School offices are open from 7:30 am until 4:30 pm.

Attached you will also find some information in regards to Voluntary Student Accident Insurance.
